Canterbury Tales
The illustrations for Canterbury Tales are designed to run as a sequence through the whole book, encouraging the reader to continue their journey and read on. Divided into three categories the drawings illustrate the Teller at the beginning of the tale and a landscape at the end of the tale, providing the location on the pilgrimage to Canterbury. The coloured illustrations are placed in the body of the text to illustrate the Tales. These narrated stories are repeated and evolve as they are handed down from one teller to another.
